Oral History Project
Legacy of the Windrush Generation

Reminiscence session 3.jpg
Skepple.jpg

We have been working with ABNA a North London Antigua and Barbuda organisation to gather the memories of their experiences when they first came to Britain, as part of the Windrush generation.

We were lucky enough to be award a lottery grant to run this project.

We have held reminiscence sessions and gathered information, pictures and memorabilia. The information has been used for exhibitions, workshops and a book to bring these experience to a wider audience.

We also created a book from the memories and photographs that came from our reminiscence sessions.

We have many lovely photos of the early Windrush generation and lots of memories.
